With Malta’s iGaming Excellence Awards (MiGEA 2021) looming, several prominent operators have recently learned of their shortlisting in a number of categories.

Amongst them is EvenBet Gaming, which was shortlisted in six categories including Malta’s Best Gaming Casino Supplier of the Year and Malta’s Best Rising Star in Gaming.

Taking to social media, the company said it looks forward “impatiently” to the winners announcement on at the 16th July event which “unites the entire industry to reward and celebrate the outstanding companies that make a difference, innovate and improve the sphere”.

GameArt is another nominee, being shortlisted for four awards, with two entries for Best Online Gaming Product of the Year.

Addressing the company’s presence at the competition, Deane Hendricks, chief operations officer at GameArt, said: “We’re eagerly awaiting this year’s [award] where we’ll be able to showcase GameArt’s most recent innovations”.

Valletta-based Wazdan also made the cut, making the shortlist in seven categories, including as Malta’s Best Innovative Product Company of the Year.

Andrzej Hyla, chief commercial officer at Wazdan, said: “We’re very proud to be nominated in so many categories at the Malta iGaming Excellence Awards. As our home market, it’s fantastic to be recognised locally and we eagerly await the awards night.

“Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted, and very best of luck to all involved!”

The annual event, which will this year be held at the Intercontinental Hotel Malta, will be judged by a number of experienced industry leaders, including Victoria Soltesz, founder of PSP Angels, Lauryn Duncan, senior sales manager at Microgaming, David Flynn, CEO at Glitnor, Sergio Muscat, founder at Oxygia Consulting, Julian Goffin, director and CEO at Finductive, and Stanislav Silin, CEO at Altenar.

Companies and individuals will be recognised in a variety of categories, from Malta’s Best Start Up Company of the Year Award, to Malta’s Best CEO of the Year.
