Mr Romero’s experience within the safer gambling segments of the sector is extensive. He served as Head of Customer Operations at Jackpotjoy Group from Malta in 2018, moving on to being engaged as Sustainability and Safer Gambling consultant with Malta-based Gaming Innovation Group, and went on to William Hill as its Head of Safer Gambling Policy.

Commenting on his departure from William Hill, Mr Romero thanked the different Compliance Directors he reported to, and the various colleagues he had the pleasure of working with across different projects.

Aside from his industry roles, he has been the Head of Gambling Therapy, a charity that provides online for problem gamblers worldwide.
